"The administration can't be serious about compromise or helping the Dreamers if they begin with a list that is anathema to the Dreamers, to the immigrant community and to the vast majority of Americans," Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a joint statement.

They added if President Trump was "serious" during a closed-door meeting last month about helping current undocumented immigrants covered by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, "his staff has not made a good faith effort to do so.”

I agree here, in the past few weeks it has become apparent Trump and his jokes of a a staff are not really thinking about helping the dreamers but rather what they can get out of this in terms of border security, less immigration, and more immigration enforcement.

We will most likely be in ww3 before anything addressing DACA recipients becomes law.

Yeah and that would be the time I leave USA for good. Not fighting for a dumbass president and a country that only wants me as a second class citizen.

they dont have to codify daca or pass a legislative fix, they could also come up with no solution and leave dreamers to the shadows with no ability to work or protection from deportation.

im sure many dreamers think the same way and would self deport to their corrupt third world native countries even if a fix does happen, but includes no pathway to citizenship, like you're advocating for.

I'm advocating for no pathway to citizenship? I think you have me confused with someone else.
