House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Thursday that House Democrats will not support a bill to keep the government open for two more week when it comes to the floor on Thursday, citing the lack of Democratic priorities in the bill.

"No," Pelosi said during her weekly press conference when asked if Democrats can support the bill. She pointed to a poster showing Democratic priorities, and noted that none of those are included in a two-week continuing resolution Republicans hope to pass today.

Republicans would have to pass the bill themselves if Democrats refuse to help, but they should have enough votes to do so even if some conservatives decide to vote against it.

”Either they have the votes or they don't have the votes today," Pelosi said. "But we have been outspoken about what our priorities are and this is a fight that is a fight for our country."

"This is a waste of time," Pelosi said.

Pelosi also insisted that there will not be a government shutdown, but also declared that a legislative fix for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program must be passed by the end of the month. She said Democrats will not leave town without one.

"We will not leave here without a DACA fix," Pelosi said.

Pelosi, along with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., are set to meet with President Trump at the White House a week and a half after Pelosi and Schumer ditched a planned meeting with the president to discuss spending.

Without a deal between the two sides, the government is set to partially shut down on Friday night at midnight.

So, no shutdown. So DA will be in the final spending bill?

Looks like Reps have the votes for CR in the House, and Schumer isn't holding his team together in the Senate.

That's one of the conclusions, another one being that they fold and let Rs win.

Might be smokescreen. That way if there is, the right can’t go on the offensive and blame the democrats. If it were to happen, it’d be on the Republicans.

They will blame democrats no matter what so that point shouldn't even float up. Trump could drop his pants and do a helicopter and Fox and other state media would somehow defend that.

What are the chances of DA being brought up for a vote at the last minute on its own including Border security? That way, Reps will get to say it wasnt on the spending bill like they had said and they just let it be and see if it passes on it's own merit?

Zero. McConnell nor Ryan won't bring it up like that. So only way forward is an amendment to another bill. Even if the discharge petition succeeds in the house there's no similar procedure in the senate.

I don't think the democrats are folding but rather they have come to an agreement.
