One thing which isn't expected to be attached to any interim spending measure this wk is a DACA fix Dems are calling for.

If GOPers approve interim spending bill which they don't like on their own..perhaps the best thing they can say is that they didn't let it interfere with tax reform. And, they did it w/only GOP votes. Didn't have to put Dem priorities (like DACA) on the bill to court Dem votes.

This is purely speculation. We don’t know how many GOP will defect if a senate bill comes back with CHIP, CSR payments etc.
They may need house Dems to vote

They can't pass budget in the senate without Dem votes... I don't get what they are saying. 8 Dems have to vote for the budget otherwise they should demand DACA and shut it down.

Idk what Dems will request. Some say just CHIP, others are saying CSR payments. News this week walked back their demands for a DACA fix, but liberal organizations are going crazy. Apparently a decision on all this will be made by senate leadership by tomorrow afternoon.

If Dems only take CSR and CHIP, primary all who vote. Simple as that. Look at the list of the orgs that sent a letter to the Dems, if all suddenly are against the Dem incumbents, Dems will lose. The base will skewer them.

I think it’s easier for them to request most of these things in january with a longer spending bill, then now on a 2 week spending bill. For Ryan to get FC on board with a long term spending bill he’s going to have to meet some crazy demands. The problem is democrats have been howling to the moon and back about not going home without. A daca fix and they seem to be wanting to do that. Cowards

Yes problem is that they can be playing this game throughout the entire 2018. Just keep pushing back and back and back.. another issue is that implementation of what ever fix they get us is that it will take at least 180 days to implement. + additional 180 days of ya waiting to hear back from god dam USCIS. Office. It’s fucking biggest politics game of all time and we are right in the middle of it, and have been for past 17 years.
