The math: Procedural vote Fri nite got 50 yeas. Graham & Flake were noes. Likely to be yeas. that's 52. 5 Dems were yeas Fri: Donnelly, Heitkamp, Manchin, Jones, McCaskill. McConnell is technically a yea. So that's 53. Still need 7 Dems. Look at moderate Dems who are up this fall

The deal is to have debate on daca if there is no agreement by Feb 8.
Not yet known how Paul, Lee and Mccain is absent.

If Paul and Lee vote yes that goes to 55 yeas only needs 5 dems.

7 Dems. That will be the magic number to get 60 votes on Monday's noon procedural vote: Look at moderates, those up this fall or those from Metro DC: Kaine, Warner, Van Hollen, Cardin, Casey, Brown, Nelson, Tester, Baldwin & new MN Sen Tina Smith

I hope Schumer can keep them in line, I mean how much could they have changed in 2 days? They should fallow through.

It seems dumb to give in for so little. I understand they are worried about elections but a commitment is not enough. I can’t believe Graham and flake believe the turtle.

Just to add to my point, i really can’t blame the dems for standing up this time, but if this is all they were able to get, how on earth will we get through the finish line?

I want to give up. It takes this much effort for just a promise to debate on Feb 8. And this is just to have a chance to pass the bill in the Senate. We still have the House and WH after this. The hill is too steep and my legs are getting tired.

I think a lot of Democrats were hoping that this would be resolved before the weekend was over and when the damage to federal employees was minimal.

Guess not, hence they're ready to vote for a CR
