Are you superficial?

This girl I am dating told me that I am superficial because of the way I am and the way I talk. She said as in it is a bad thing about me.

What does that mean? Should I take it as an offensive thing?

Any comments are welcome.

She meant you only go by looks and not feelings.

Yeah she did say that but in a different way.

Let me ask you this. Do you think you're acting different now that you have been dating for a while, compared to how you first were when you started dating?

I agree and that's what I understood based on his post. To me, superficial means you only care about the looks/ appearance rather that the actual personality of the person. Maybe you said how you like a girl to be pretty good looking and nice body etc. So she must have took that the wrong way and probably assumed that you're just looking for a Trophy wife.

You should just ask her what she meant by it. And if she did say what I mentioned and you disagree then tell her that.

In a way, you did sound sort of superficial when you were talking about your ex wife based on your previous post, about how she gained weight and not being the same as she was when you guys met. Don't get me wrong. I'm pretty sure you did mention things like that because you care about her and her health but those are some examples that might give you off as a superficial type of person.

I would actually take it in offense. Being superficial is a negative thing as that puts you in light of being shallow and care roo little about meaningful things.

I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a woman who takes care of herself and looks good.

Plus fat woman (and same can be said for men) should be a red flag. That means she lacks discipline and can't hold back from stuffing her greasy face into an XL all meat combo pizza.

This is also an indicator that she will likely cheat on you. If she can't stop herself from dipping her sausage fingers in the cookie jar, she sure as hell won't hold back from hopping on another D if she is presented with the opportunity.
