Donald Trump has announced a 60-day ban on immigrants seeking to live and work in America permanently, and said he could extend it depending on the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

The US president framed the executive order, which he expects to sign on Wednesday, as an effort to protect American workers from foreign competition. He said it would apply only to those seeking green cards and not temporary workers, but he did not explain how those whose applications are currently being processed would be affected.

Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee to take on Trump in November’s election, said: “Rather than execute a swift and aggressive effort to ramp up testing, Donald Trump is tweeting incendiary rhetoric about immigrants in the hopes that he can distract everyone from the core truth: he’s moved too slowly to contain this virus, and we are all paying the price for it.”

Fucken-A, I should have AOS'd like 2 years ago. Now I'm (and countless others) screwed. All this bloated orange asshole is doing is pandering to his racist base and creating a distraction from the absolute shit job he's done handling the coronavirus crisis here in the U.S.

I'm 100% behind what Biden said: Why is this fucktard not prioritizing getting more widespread testing in the country rather than stunt moves like this???

Million $ question is - if you qualified for AOS 2 years ago, why didn’t you start the process?

Unless you had a legitimate reason, hard to feel sorry

I wasn't looking for pity, so whether you feel sorry or not is irrelevant.

But I'll still answer your million dollar question for free: I didn't adjust then because there was a lot going on in my life at that time. By the time all that cleared up, I figured I might as well wait till I hit the 2 year mark to apply for a non-conditional green card, since I'm still covered by DACA.

No one knows the details since the EO is still being written, Ford he said he would sign by Tuesday (yesterday) now it’s by today. Who knows? But from what I’ve been reading it will mostly affect those applying for green cards that are out of the country..it should not affect those already in the country and it will have exemptions for foreign farm workers and health professionals.
