I received a text today from USCIS. I checked my status online and I got this:

Request Type:Application for Employment Authorization
Case Received Date:05/26/2016
Received As:Paper Application
Status:Closed
Status Message:USCIS has produced your Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) and mailed it to the address you provided.

I don't know why it says permanent resident card if I didn't apply for that. Has anybody gotten something like this?

Yes, it seems that the new system does not quite understand what DACA is just yet. Don't get excited, you won't get a green card.

Anyone have an idea how long after the DACA approval do they approve the EAD?
Congrats for being a February applicant and finally getting approved.

Can you tell me around how far ahead your bio appt was from the date you got scheduled? Last time when I tried walking in (with the bio appt the infopass officer linked to my old renewal -_-), they wouldn't let me walk in, so I am worried since I want to get it done asap via a walk-in.
I walked the same day it was uploaded to ELIS.
CaseStatus emailed me with a date of 8/19, but the Notice was printed on 8/20 and it was uploaded on 8/22. I printed it the same day and walked in. The appt was for 9/9.

Nope, just a response to my Congressman from 8/12 that my app was being processed, not done processing and they would make sure it was processed within the expiration date. Blah Blah. I submitted another SR and expedite email to NSC. Ill let it sit for one or two days and then email HQ.

ELIS was primarily used to process I-90, which is replacing your Green Card. They haven't even made all the changes to reflect the processing of I821D's/I765's that it still has the same message for an I-90 approval..... Just shows how great and mature ELIS and USCIS processing is.

I ask this because if you are approved 1 day before expiration, I would figure that all computer systems would be updated and you can just give them a copy of your new physical EAD later when you receive it.

That is what I'm planning to do. HR haven't brought anything up yet and I hope I get approved before next Thursday.
