Ofcourse democrats won't vote for "just" the e verify bill they would lose their Hispanic base over night it's suicide , the real question is which democrat is willing to support a pro immigration amendment attach to e verify if it came down to it , it's kinda tough but we'll see

Yup. Maybe, it's part of the master plan to pressure Republicans to compromise. Let's see how things develop. This is freaking exciting! Better than a boxing match.

It's fun to watch this episode of clashing.

I hope that in the end, Dream Act will emerge intact and pass !

Am sure there has to be more then one democrat that will try to attach dream. There has to be. The real question is, will republicans agree and vote.

If significant pressue is put on, the possibilities of an E-verify and DREAM Act (and most likely Ag Jobs to quell opposition from the agriculture sector) bill are quite good.

As a standalone bill, I contend that this E-verify proposal will not pass. In order to oppose E-verify without appearing flexible on enforcing the law, Democrats can simply argue that program is ridden with defects.
