So in regard to n426, you must have participated in at least 48 scheduled drills? I don't think I'd press my unit commander to sign the form if that's the case, I haven't drilled nearly enough for this request.

"Generally, members of the U.S. armed forces who serve honorably for any period of time (even 1 day) during specifically designated periods of hostilities (see below) are eligible for naturalization under section 329 of the INA through such military service."

Technically you can get it signed after 1 day of drill (actually 2 fiscal days/or a weekend, which add up to 1 day of service). If you have more drills they'd be more inclined to sign it since they know you, but you definitely don't/won't have all 48.

I think I went to half dozen drills at most since my enlistment.

For those who are Korean, where did you guys get the birth certificate translated from?
I just received my birth certificate (in Korea it's not really birth certificate but I guess a statement of where and when I was born).

Do you also need an unexpired Korean passport for the N400?

You can get 48 muta if u attend all the drills except AT. Plus you get 15 pts for being in the reserves, so 15+48 = 63 pts (50 pts get you a good year!)

Not really. Doesn't change the fact that we enlisted, and for reserves, we've 'served' beyond the required time to naturalize. That stays, and is part of the law.

There's a big hearing in DC tomorrow regarding the law suit for current n400's that are pending for people who haven't gone to training yet, due to the security clearance delays. The case is looking good so far.

Glad to hear that, there is hope for us ARs. There are some cases where people got naturalized just by attending drills.

You guys made the ultimate decision. Republicans support the military service. You guys should be safe!

Anyone willing to enlist, no matter in what capacity, deserves the full rights of citizenship!
