That I understand. But they are so diametrically opposed as far as the goals of each piece of legislation. One hopes to save DACA beneficiaries and the others seeks to help ALL DREAMers.

What I don't get is exactly how a blend of these two bill looks...

It could be something like the requirement to be eligible to apply. If I'm not mistaken, only those who were eligible for DACA would be covered under the Bridge Act, maybe something like that would be taken from the Bridge Act as the requrement to be eligible for the new bill.

if that's the case. Aged out DREAMers will not qualify.

It could be a possibility. I don't think Trump or the GOP would like people saying that even more people will be covered than originally were. They're going to want to keep the number down as much as possible. There's already opposition for legalizing Dreamers due to chain migration, it would be even worse if more people are allowed to apply.

true. That is a possibility. Even though I wouldn't qualify for it. I wouldn't bitch about it.

At this point we can't be picky .. if it was up to me I would let anyone without criminal records to apply, but sadly that's not going to happen. as long as something happens, we just need to be happy with whatever that is.

Republicans are asking for their entire restrictionist wish list; Dream Act along with their border security, etc, is plenty if compromise.
