Well, definitely not cheap but I've retained her services. She definitely seems like a leading figure in this area.

Must you do the background check and medical exams at your country of origin while doing the consulate interview?

Hey guys, for those of you who already submitted forms... did you submit any info regarding past traffic violations? I have a few driving without a drivers licence (prior to DACA), how did you get records of those? If I go online and search my state, I only have 1 violation as that's the only that's on my drivers license.

Thanks!

I haven't submitted mine, but I don't think you need to submit any police records for the I-601A. For this form, they will only care about the Extreme Hardship to the USC or PR petitioner. As long as you don't have any arrests, you should be okay.

Once your I-601A does get approved, you'll be required to submit a copy of police records to NVC, and you'll have to bring the originals to the consulate appointment.

Hey guys,

We got I-130 approval recently. Can we file 601-A immediately or do I have to wait for the NVC to send their notice?

Congratulations!

Unfortunately, you have to wait for NVC to assign you a case number and an Invoice ID Number. Once you have that, you or your lawyer, will need to login to the NVC website to pay your Immigrant Visa (IV) and Affidavit of Support (AOS) fees.

Once both fees have been paid, print both receipts and include them in your I-601A packet.

Took me less than 1 month to get the case number from NVC, fyi.

Depends on the violation, traffic tickets are civil offenses, so they technically do not need to be reported. But any of the misdemeanors(determined by the state/fed lvl) needs to be put down on the application.

Hey guys,

Finally joining you on this journey, I got long ways to go but finally started the process by filling I-130.
Meanwhile that gets reviewed, attorney has asked us to start writing a rough draft for extreme hardship letter. Any tips you can share?

Going this route
I-130
I-601a
I-212
DS-260
