Grassley is a liar. DEMs have been and are willing to negotiate. You want 90% of your wish list and only willing to give in 10% of what they want.

@ChadPergram
Schumer: We can reach a deal on DACA, protecting folks who were brought here as kids, through no fault of their own, while at the same time making a reasonable, appropriate and smart investment in border security – something in the past that both Democrats and Republicans support

Schumer after last wk's GOP WH mtg on immigration: Tollowing that meeting, the White House issued a series of unreasonable demands, entirely outside the scope of our ongoing negotiations about DACA and border security.

Schumer: Over the past year, the Trump White House has much more frequently been a disruptive force rather than a unifying force. To throw down a list from the hard, hard-right wing of the White House at the last minute, is not a very fortuitous or smart thing to do.

I hope something good comes out of this meeting tomorrow. I know there is not much we can't do other than waiting and being patient. but lord! I pray this uncertainty ends soon! The longer they take to come up with a decision, the more detrimental it is for our mental health. I truly hope they decide whether we are gonna be given a chance to stay or if we need to leave to a place where our contributions will be more welcomed and appreciated. Because using us merely as political pawns is unfair and inhuman. This is not a political game, it's the lives of REAL people. Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent a little.

This. I really need to know whether I should try to anchor my life here or look elsewhere. This is why I would much rather they just not provide any relief over passing the BRIDGE Act. The waiting and uncertainty is inhumane.

I agree with you. We just wanna know once and for all if we will be accepted here. Although I would take bridge act if nothing else passed, the message it would send to our community is that they wanna keep using us for their own political benefit. I have never been so optimistic about something passing, if it doesn't happen this time, I really don't know when it will be.

There is like a 99% chance that nothing will change tomorrow. The government is getting shutdown next week.

Sen CORNYN on the government funding negotiations: "We may run out of time by the 19th and may be looking at another short-term continuing resolution. I hope not but that's--every day goes by it looks more likely."
