^Consider yourself lucky and play it dumb until you get the EAD, if they approach after the fact you can just say 'oh I didn't know' 'usually they send me the EAD on time.' Worked out for me.

I would talk with them. Legally you should not be working. Hopefully they will understand and give you options other than just terminating you.

Let me know what they say. I am considering moving to another English speak country too.

I mean the right thing to do is taking a leave as someone as posted, however the way I see it (and this is just me), they're in deeper water for not catching on and potentially violating federal compliance, than me, the clueless employee. I played it this way since I received my EAD 3 days after expiration, so I figured the worst they would do is some retro dated rehire to cover themselves.

Crossing my fingers that we see a whole bunch of approvals today. Gives me hope seeing people finally getting approved after waiting months.

I think the answer is yes based on my past 2 EAD's, but the date that the EAD is valid from is usually the day of or the day before you get approval of your EAD... i.e. last time i was approved on 9/20/14 and when i received my EAD the start date was 9/19/14 to 9/18/16.

I figure once i get my approval i will take it back to my job and start working right away.

any may applicants got approved from nebraska?
