I have an idea... (have you guys done it already?)

I think personal stories are one of the best ways to touch members in congress under the asusmption of course that they will read them. Most people's stories on this board are actually pretty touching and I was thinking to compile all these stories into individual letters and send them to all members of the senate. Of course, I'll have to PM you guys for permission and I'll do some editing to correct for spelling and gramatical errors- heck, I might even spice them up a little. Has anyone done this before? What do you guys think?

That was done already, someone really nice took his or her time to collect the stories and send them in...and someone else paid a lot of money to do this...so it's been done...thanks for the idea though....maybe we can plan something else?

Well, we did that a couple of days ago..and as long as i know...its kinda expensive and requires a lot of time to do it...and now that a lot of us are back to school...it's going to be hard to get another couple of stories and send them in. . .besides....the person who volunteered for this said that he/she had received very few stories...at the end she got like 30. but she/he almost had to beg on her/his knees for us to give him/her our stories...

Yes, definitely keep calling... I sent out the stories to all 100 senators. We had 26 of them total. Good idea though... great minds think alike

I know it takes time and somewhat expensive but I have someone that I can task with that. I was actually thinking of going through the NEW MEMBERS area and grabbing peoples intros and compile them into stories. What apparently has been done is sending the 26 stories that hrvatica13has collected... I was thinking of something a little different. Of course I would get every persons approval before getting their story from the new members thread.
