Hello everyone!

I hope all of you have stopped around to support Underground Undergrads and the rest of the family of Dreamer blogs, which you can find listed over at DreamActivist.

The Underground Undergrads Project started out as a collaboration between the UCLA Labor Center and IDEAS, a support and advocacy group for undocumented students at UCLA. We published a book, and have sold nearly 5,000 copies of it to this day. The book is available for purchase here.

As an offshoot to that initiative, we have started a blog that looks to continue the same type of work. I wanted to extend an invitation to anyone who would be interested in contributing to our blog.

Be a contributor:
Submit any short story, testimony, or poem you may have written, that reflects your experiences and struggles as a dreamer. We will have a running feature soon to highlight the artistic expressions of dreamers throughout the country. If you have any video or different ideas of what we as dreamers should put out to the world, send those along as well. This is a great opportunity to share your story with the world, particularly as we move forward with the change in administration.

I've seen a lot of great posts on this forum, so I would like to encourage you all to submit whatever you have shared with us in the past.

If you have any questions, PM or send an email. Thanks!

Yes, and we'll help.
I'll write up a mini-guide to blogging for everyone interested in writing for UU or running their own blogs.

^^ That occurred 11 months ago via ADD but I am not going to discuss that right now.

There's DreamACTivist.org where we are trying to build a library for everyone, to be done by the end of this month. Anyone who is registered and wants to blog can blog. Right now, quaker and I blog and Maria contributes to some sections once in a while.

UU is also a collaboration of bloggers and rocking.

It's okay to have separate sites spread out and linked together, with several general ones, some focused ones, as long as we know how to network and work together. Blogging makes it quite easy.

I actually can't wait for the day DREAMers start blogswarming -- [10+ posts on different blogs about the same thing from different angles]

Yea, pretty much everything MAGrad said.

We have 8 people as writers now, 5 of us were already involved in the project of making the book, and we invited people that are already blogging to feel free to post as well.

I think having multiple blogs that are well-coordinated in terms of action and message would do wonders for us, and will make them grow together.

I actually think that it might be a good thing to have several blogs spread out all over the web and a few more focused ones. Readers have their preferences about styles of writing. I am sure some of us write about Dream and unrelated stuff all in one blog which brings in a different audience. For example, if you write about immigration and saving polar bears, some people might visit your blogs because they found your entry about bears but then they realize you also blog about Dream and will read those entries. They probably wouldn't have read about immigration that day or are simply not interested in it, but they read your post.

I should have a blog running by Sunday. I'll link to you guys.
