It looks like immigration advocates will be launching their campaign soon.

Immigration reformers are gearing up this week for a lobbying campaign, convinced that the Obama administration is prepared to move forward on reform legislation this year.

Leaders of an alliance of groups are meeting with members of Congress in big immigration zones, such as Florida and New York, as well as rural states like Nebraska and Idaho.


"The momentum is building," claims Ali Noorani, executive director of the National Immigration Forum, a pro-immigrant advocacy group in Washington. "People are connecting on this issue all over the country.’’

He said reforming immigration should be part of reviving the economy.

The groups are coordinated by an Interfaith Immigration Coalition under the slogan ``Families United.'
