like i said, this isnt CIRACT Portal, this is specifically for the DREAM Act. we need to focus on DREAM Act; if you cant see through that, then you need to go find yourself another forum. do i want CIR to pass? of course. do i want DREAM ACT to fail because its bundled up with CIR? hell no.

do i feel like im better qualified to be a contributing american than your typical middle aged unskilled worker who doesnt know english and waves foreign flags during immigration march demanding citizenship? hell yes.

Anyone who reads this thread will laugh at our cause. How are we supposed to garner support from the outside when we're starting to crumble from the inside and the fight's barely starting. Come on guys, get it together and get working.

no matter what we do we cant get Dream to come up for a vote by itself if its not with cir,if that fails then Dream can come up so stop your bitching and don't tell me to get another forum of course i want Dream to pass. In a couple of years it will be 20 years here in this situation but guess what my mom already passes 20 years here.

First of all, there's no need to insult anyone. It's also laughable that you think that picture is actually Alex1234. Just to let you know, CIR has a great chance of passing this year and it also has bi-partisan support. This website is for the passage of the DREAM Act, but if DREAM is going to be included as part of a more comprehensive immigration bill, then we will fight for that immigration bill. Like Verve said, if CIR fails, it is likely that DREAM will come up as a stand-alone bill. Sen. Durbin understands how politics works and if he feels that DREAM should be included in CIR first, then so be it. That doesn't mean he's abandoning all efforts to help pass the DREAM Act.

Also, undocumented immigrants are contributing members of this society too. Just because they weren't fortunate enough to obtain an education in this country does not mean you can pretend to be better than them. Another thing, the majority of immigrants don't agree with the people waving foreign flags during the marches. And another thing, it was probably easy for you to learn English because you came here at a young age. The majority of undocumented people do agree that learning English is extremely important, but it's a little hard to find the time when you're working 2 jobs to provide for your family. Don't judge if you don't know.

Please tell me, what have you done to help the cause? All I get from reading your posts is negativity and that's really not helpful at all.

Yeah I double that, spoiled brats rats lol ha, I think that if DREAM comes on its own, its good, but with CIR, it is just best. Because if DREAM passes, then what if some leverage comes with it such as e-verify, then the other 12 million are going to suffer the consequences. So I support CIR, and I am sure it has pretty good chances of passing. But I won't deny that I can't wait to see DREAM Passed in any way. Other wise is it like to put it as an example: sacrificing a whole town to save a select few, it is just not right, it goes against Christian Principles. Even President Obama Agrees on this. But otherwise, if we do get the chance to get it on its own, lets go for it. As Maria said, Sen. Durbin knows what he is doing, and we support him 100%.

United We Stand!

We need to help our less educated / less informed brothers and sisters. We are all in the same boat and trying to achieve the same "DREAM"! Regardless of anyone's situation / plight / sacrifices, we are all undocumented. Thus, we need to stick together and help each other to achieve the American Dream (either through DA or CIR).

before you cry yours tears out, im not insulting anyone. not unless someone starts with me, like Alex did. and how would i know if that is his real picture or not? i did say that i am assuming that that's him. learn to think before you speak for the sake of just speaking out. it's laughable how you constantly say that i think i'm better than other immigrants when i specifically pointed out that thats not what i am saying. cant people read these days?

you have your opinion on how DREAM ACT should roll, i have mine. learn to respect that instead of bitching and whining and calling it "negativity". i think dream act has better chance as a stand alone, since CIR has no chance of passing this year. thats my stance. if you dont think so, thats fine but dont extrapolate that into thinking that i think im better than other people. it's not negativity, it's an opinion you dont agree with and feel obliged to bash it, same tactics used by ALIPACs.

seriously, calm down.

"no matter what we do we cant get Dream to come up for a vote by itself"

oh really? so what are you doing in this forum again?

20 years ago, we were toddlers and babies with no decisional making capacity. 20 years ago, your parents were still adults willfully violating immigration laws. do i think there's a huge difference? oh yes.

thats the whole point of the DREAM ACT. if you dont think so, then i have to seriously doubt your analytical skill and logic.

seriously, calm the f*** down people.
It seems to me that the only person bitching and whining in this, and other, threads is you. You should also learn that assuming just makes you look like an ass. And another thing, you tell people to respect your stance that DREAM, how about you follow your own advice? I will work towards the passage of the DREAM Act whether it comes up as a stand-alone or as part of CIR. Senator Durbin will do what he needs to in order to pass it this year.

Anyway, I'm not going to waste my time with you anymore because this really does nothing to help pass DREAM.

I hate that we have to close yet another thread because some dumbasses can't seem to keep their mouths shut. If you want to insult and call other people names, go back to 3rd grade. I'm sick of all this immature bullshit.

I really feel like going on a banning spree right now...
