i think many of us knew we were illegal in this country when we reached 16 or 17. because everyone apply DL, but we can't

Hmmm.... SSC. He didn't know? Nothing about SSC? It happens but, just a bit weird? Just like how people don't know what a green card is?

why is that so weird? i did know about it but didnt know what it was for, i only knew my friend carried it in his wallet for job interviews, ur not exactly thinking pensioners funds at age 16, and most public schools dont exaclty have the brightest counselors on hand to explain that kind of stuff, they can barely fill out a financial aid form....
