well, you gotta help the rest of us push for DREAM instead of chanting "si se puede" and waving foregin flags in front of tv cameras.

the whole idea behind DREAM is that we are different; meaning we were brought here by no choice of our own. that cant be said for most CIR beneficieries.

So, the advice you got for her is to give up? Those are the drops of wisdom you got to all members?

If you are going to act like a brat because Congress would not do what you want is fine. Do whatever you want. Still, don't bully the newest/youngest members into doing what you want.

okay, for the second time, I am done with you.

p.s. the reality argument all the naysayers give is hilarious. As if you got really the pull to make Congress and Obama do your thing or negotiate with NumbersUSA, please grow up.

well, i don't know , maybe this same thread that you made into off-topic discussion ?
From the original post,
" The Obama administration and the College Board support it, but congressional aides said it is unlikely to pass the House and Senate without an overhaul for all illegal immigrants in the United States."

I personally do not count this as a proof. But at least that is one source that supports it ( or rejects your idea).

so it goes both ways. i don't need proof and try to try spoon feed you to make a point. doesn't take a lot to see 1+1=2.
I guess i just did. Now it is your turn .

Find just one article that supports your point of view from the WORLD WIDE WEB.

Feel free to even link us to a Blog that supports your opinion.

If you can not even do that, Just like Optimistidenial, i will ignore your posts as well( Well only off-topic ones ) .

But still, you are totally getting me wrong. I never tried prove you wrong. But without a source, your claims are just opinions.

Well i am personally rooting for you and i hope you find something. It will make my day and will make me happy . Many people are already very optimistic that CIR will pass this year, and if you find something that says that DA has a better chance, then why wouldn't any one here become happy about it?.
Best of luck.

P.S. Did you know we can edit our posts in the forum? Also there is a future called Multi-quote.

Optimist- one lil' advice: don't put up direct quotes of people, and offer retorts that have no bearing on what their words clearly implied. It only makes you look dumb.
As for the rest of you, resigning to mocking, dismissing, name-calling, or personally mischaracterizing someone as misinformed because his/her assertions don't gel with yours serves no purpose in moving this or any discussion along. If you don't agree with him or his strategy, state it and move on! But don't dismiss him by asking for facts. Can you all enumerate evidence that clearly shows Obama will have CIR up for a vote this year? ...didn't think so!
I met the guy. I canvassed for him in 3 states. But I have to be a realist and not be over enthralled by his words. Do what you have to and can for the DA, and stop attacking people for having different viewpoints from yours. It only makes you more puerile and makes this forum look like high school.

why is it that when ever someone argues with our position; it means they are NumbersUSA or Alicrap. its like me saying that every person who wants to get their papers through a path to citizenship; is a part of the Mexican Reconquista. Some people say "NO" no matter what "earned" citizenship means; i get them; they are the hardcore nativists. but someone else may say "NO" unless they propose an amendment or provision to the bill; which would make them say "YES"... Senator Shumer on hes last immigration hearing, said "i will come up with a legislation which would be beneficial both to the American people and the undocumented community. does that make him a Numbers USA or Alicraper?...; because he didn't just say "fuck Americans and what they think about this, Undocumented people know best"

Huh??

Bruin just denigrated the work of immigrant advocates - the very people trying to get us legalized - and used the oh so old 'foreign flags in a rally' canard when immigrant advocates mostly rectified that issue back in 2006.

Not only that, he had the gall to proclaim undocumented Dreamies better than regular undocumented people as if people can tell the difference least of all restrictionists. Newsflash, you're illegal, get over it. That is not the way to build coalitions, and Bruin needs to learn a thing or two about coalition building.

Bruin can be as pro Dream first as he wants, but don't be constantly trashing CIR especially when that's the likely vehicle Dream will be in.

All right, enough of this! If Bruinman feels the best way to pass DREAM Act is by stand-alone, let him. If you believe that best way to pass DREAM Act is by being attached to CIR, you are entitled to your opinion. Everyone on this forum is entitled to their own opinion. Let us try to be respectful of someone elses ideas. I think all sides of DA v.s. CIR needs to stop jumping on the other thread after thread. Agree to disagree. At the end of the day, we all want the same thing -- DREAM Act to become law.

Locking!
