Alex,
as long as you meet the requirements of the DA, your deportation is stayed. The text of the bill doesn't delineate between "absconders" or any one else. There are a lot of people who don't know they may be under some deportation order. Let's not start scaring everyone about who may or may not qualify until the damn thing becomes law.

Sorry to hear about those two. I hope they get a stay or reprieve.

I wouldnt even go in the white house with a GC, let alone undocumented AND with a dep. order.

They get no sympathy from me.

You'd have to be really stupid to even think about doing something like this if you are illegal.

Who in their right mind would go to the White House without having some sort of status?

If you have a deportation warrant or are simply an "illegal alien" you can be a major threat to the White House.. so I don't blame officials for detaining them. Hopefully they will look at their individual cases and see if they can do something to help.
