It is about time that someone in the administration specifically mentions Dream.
Quote:
U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano reiterated the president’s stated commitment to immigration reform during a speech at New Mexico State University on Wednesday. Although she could not say when such a proposal will come to the forefront, Napolitano said the groundwork is already being laid behind the scenes for an immigration reform bill.

Napolitano did not promise that such reform would happen at all, but pointed out that President Barack Obama has said immigration reform will be one of his top priorities when the debate over health care reform concludes.

The New Mexico-born Homeland Security Secretary said it would include a proposal similar to the DREAM Act , which would grant certain undocumented immigrants–such as those who arrived in the United States as children and graduate from high school–the opportunity to earn permanent residency
.

Any reform bill, she said, must address the fact that “we are a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants and opportunity.”

“Our hope is that a bill will come out,” she said about immigration reform. “I’m not going to give you a timetable.”

For some reason, I'm not taking her very seriously.

I wouldn't be surprised if Obama OKs Congress putting forward a military-only version of DREAM. He seems to compromise too much.

I believe that he wants to fix soo many things for the better... but i would say that hes a little gullible. he doesn't have the "kick your ass" attitude. The first speech he gave that November night when he won the election; was "to the ones who didn't choose me, i want to be your president too".. those are beautiful words if they fall on intelligent minds, but not the case here... THEY don't want you to be their president... they want to destroy you and suck all that young, charismatic, strong character out of you.

like Bill Maher said: wrapping yourself with the American flag like its a snuggy coat; doesn't make you any more patriotic. What makes you patriotic is your willingness to help your country for the better, not be a selfish bitch who calls everything that Glenn Beck says.

there's tons of things that are socialized in this country, don't these retards get it. We pay taxes for sanitation and police, firefighters and road building, the military, already paying for health care... shyt I already pay taxes in the first place, i rather see it go to give people and myself health coverage; rather to go to some b.s endless war.

damn it
