I found an article.
I do not want to post the entire article from World Net Daily because it is an anti-immigration and conservative website and its article is also anti-immigration, but it mentions one important event.

Quote:
On Monday, Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., scheduled a subcommittee hearing of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary for Sept. 22 on "Comprehensive Immigration Reform: How the Current Immigration Law Negatively Impacts America's Agricultural Industry and Food Service."

Schumer has announced his intention to introduce new comprehensive immigration reform legislation to the Senate this year.
The Senate Judiciary Committee website shows that there is indeed a hearing on that day.

Having a subcommittee hearing doesn't mean legislation, but it shows that Senator Schumer is working on the bill even though he delayed the introduction of his immigration bill. His delay is probably due to the controversy caused by the famous "You Lie!" representative during the recent joint session speech.

So, don't be too excited or disappointed.

It looks like the hearing has been postponed according to the Senate Judiciary website.
Quote:
NOTICE OF SUBCOMMITTEE HEARING POSTPONEMENT

The hearing on "Comprehensive Immigration Reform: How the Current Immigration Law Negatively Impacts America's Agricultural Industry and Food Security" scheduled before the Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees and Border Security of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, for Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. has been postponed.

By order of the Chairman
