wow...that IS an odd pair. But hey, if they can pull it off, especially with Dobbs on board, anything can happen.

Although I doubt the reps would be easily swayed especially since Dobbs had always claimed he's an "Independent" (my ass). It's some of the dems that didn't stand up and clap during the Obama's-one-sentenced-immigration-speech last night that needs convincing.

they can have all the control and discipline in the world, they are going to NEED Republicans. Bush & Co. had 9/11 and they lied to the American about the purpose for the war in Iraq. Why do you think there was a super majority? It's not coincidence... Americans were/are pissed.

I couldn't agree more. As much as we want what we deserve, Americans feel the same way. And they feel as if their lives are in shambles, which is the truth for so many people out of work. Until there are more visible signs of an economic recovery, then it'll be hard to convince the public that immigration reform is feasible and the right thing to do right now.
