Is it appropriate to call senators out of state? I live in NY so there really isn't anyone to convince here, with Schumer pretty much leading the CIR debate right now. I used to call in NY when Schumer was stalling at the end of last year, but I never tried calling out of state.

Well...you're supposed to call the ones in your state. But I think no harm will be done if you call just say youre from the state the senator represents. Make sure to call Republicans to like McCain( AZ) and Cornyn
