This is only a preview, you have to be a member to see the full thing. Does anybody have access? What could the rest be about?

WASHINGTON - "People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens, and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who entered the United States legally."

That wasn't radio host and former CNN broadcaster Lou Dobbs in one of his trademark commentaries on illegal immigration.

It was Sen. Charles Schumer, the liberal New York Democrat now in charge...

this article is OLD, the writer just quoted shummer from a thing he said back in 2009. here is the original 2009 article on what schummer said
http://themunz.blogspot.com/2009/07/...-games-on.html

schummer is trying to act "hardcore" to show that hes serious about this illegal immigration thing not to happen again...

thank you very much..

yea true, like myself (business visa) but my family overstayed that visa to apply for asylum, so after overstaying we were considered undocumented.

i dont necessarily see anything wrong with that statement. They should not be treated equally...but that isnt to say they should not be given a chance to fix there status and join everyone else. Its just a statement that explains what an "illegal" is. I did not read the whole article but i personally do not see anything wrong with that statement. He isnt saying in addition, that they should all be sent home or something like that.

To Alex:

similar situation, was your asylum denied? if you dont want to answer, i would appreciate a PM as im trying to be as knowledgeable as i can about our unique situation that is unlike most people on this forum.
