He might seem to have nothing to lose but to let his work of many years go down the drain won't be comfortable for any reasonable man. He's reluctant of CIR bill cus with all said and done, he's gonna have to vote for it. Obama should send whatever troops McCain demanding, beef up the border with any way he can so McCain can say he MADE the President do this. That way he'll have political capital to play with

I totally agree with your assessment. Obama needs to grow cajones. send the national guard, seal the fucking border. Put navy ships on Sand. F-22's on patrol .. do whatever the hell it takes.

Please send troops to the border. But before sending, Obama SHOULD make a deal with Kyl & McCain for them to support CIR. This is the crucial part

It's funny but I said something similar yesterday concerning Graham.
Regardless of whatever the true "treason" is Graham is THE issue.
@DaUser,I don't think so considering it is the Majority leader that sets the schedule & the article states whichever bill comes first.Climate change legislation is being introduced next week Monday & so far I've heard nothing about Immigration even Graham himself said in a recent article on here that,"what do you want me to do,create a bill by Monday" or something similar to that affect.

Problem is... the CIR isnt just amnesty and nothing else. It Particularly calls for a secure border.

So if republicans denounce CIR they are denouncing the amnesty part not the secure the borders part. If obama gives into secure borders part beforehand there is no telling if they will support the bill then since the federal government by law was supposed to secure the border anyways

This is a really interesting tactic to get the bill through. The one little thing I wonder is whether McCain could really be trusted to keep a promise if the primary in Arizona were to remain close.

By the way, did anyone ever notice that Hayworth looks like a comic book villain or something? I can't believe McCain has not been smarter about hitting Hayworth hard for the scandals that led him to lose his seat in Congress the last time around to a Democrat. It makes one wonder what in the world the people of Arizona could be thinking. I drove through Arizona last year to get to California and it seemed like a perfectly nice place--I even thought I might not mind living there when I became an old man--but I am beginning to seriously question that idea now. There must be something wrong with the water there.

If in case there is a deal McCain has to follow through. I assume there is an unwritten law in politics that if you make a deal you ought to complete your end of the bargain. Or else McCain can forget about future deals and his credibility (if there's any left at all) would be severely damaged not necessarily among constituents but among politicians of either isle.
