How sad.. I'm sure some of us have considered suicide...I know I have..but damn, that just reminds us how emotionally draining our situation is!! AHH! Like someone else posted on here come up with two plans.. One for staying in the country and another for moving elsewhere...

It is clear that his suicide was based on his status based on the article. Senator Brown should take immediate action in passing Dream Act.

I remember myself at that age years ago, and what really made me angry, which is also really ironic, isn't the fact that I had it bad, because I didn't ( frankly unless you have to worry about a place to sleep and/or how to put food on the table you don't really have it bad) but the fact that everyone around me was doing so damn well with their driver licenses, new cars, school loans, spring break trips and whatever else they could do that I didn't. Things like that take their toll on kids' psyche and it's just really sad.

I agree. I'm in that age group and the things you describe are the things most young adults strive for.

Dude no one is arguing that what he did was not the act of a coward or that it doesn't outrage his family, and I am sure he didn't do it to become a hero as you presume. All we are trying to say is show some respect for a fellow DREAMer who is not with us anymore. The whole wuss, rakes being shoved up people's behinds, and dickwad comments are uncalled for. If you have something other than how sad, mad, and want to work even harder this makes you, then I suggest you keep your opinion to yourself. Come on guys we need to be working together, not fighting, because we all have the same goal. Also if some of you guys are going to post things like 'RIP Gustavo', please use his whole name as a sign of respect and because my name is Gustavo as well and it creeps the hell out of me.

To all those people that have been wanting us all to go away and get out of this country we supposedly don't belong to: I hope you are happy now.

Me too.

I think many of us here have had moments where we just don't see a way out. I know I've been there before, but luckily I made it through. This kid wasn't as fortunate.

I can't believe how insensitive and rude some of you guys' comments are. All of us, out of all people, should have compassion for him and his family instead of passing judgement.

RIP Gustavo Rezende.

Same here. If any of you is having suicidal thoughts, is sad, or just needs someone to talk to, feel free to contact me by PM, facebook, or messenger. Please know that despite our situation, life is worth living and you are not alone.
