This doesn't surprise me at all. Honestly, I'm just going to stick around a little while longer in the states and then leave.

Who would have known that the Dems and this administration would encourage self-deportation? And "silent" raids that make people leave the country after unable to find new jobs? Genious, isn't it? Thank you Democratic leadership.

right, like he cant bitch slap some people and add it to the incoming Iraq and Afghanistan spending bill,

we all would like the dream act to be passed as a lone bill, with crowds cheering and parades like the ones after winning WW2, but lets be serious here, its not happening, and bitch smacking some repubs on the little punny wars and adding DREAM to that bill is probably the most fail-proof way to go (as they will have to choose, DREAM or no money for blowing up stuff in Iraq, IRCA of 1996, the immigration law that just fucked the immigration system to hell was added to a big spending bill)

Goddamn it Durbin, we need LEADERSHIP, we need a man (or woman) with balls to push this damn bill. CIR isnt happening, how do I know this? Was the bill introduced? Nope. Can u actually negotiate on a non-existent bill? Nope. Any questions ?

The real id was also inserted into a bill by just ONE lone republican chairman in committee. The notion that dream can only be passed with 60 votes is a big lie. Hatch managed to insert the dream act in the budget authorization bill in 2003 against the will of the republican leadership. One thing I've come realize is that republicans are ruthless and know how to get legislation passed.

This November players of the "pass-the-hot-potato(immigration)" House members and "run-the-clock-down" "squander-opportunity-away" Senators should be put out on the street. That means you Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Durbin, and the wimps from the "Hispanic" caucus (who seem to have no clout whatsoever). I'm channeling my inner tea-bagger (minus the flat-earth, racist, ignorant part) and want Dems to loose. And yes, if this also means that Obama cannot get re-elected, then so be it. You won dems; I believe you: Without Republicans we cannot get immigration reform, so start packing and make room.

You use the 60-vote myth as an excuse for your inability to govern. The Republicans had less than a super-majority for the last decade and they shat on the world; FORCED two major wars, infringed on civil rights and privacy of this country's citizens, abused their power, RUINED the country financially, etc, etc, etc, etc. Asking for 60 votes only gives power to useless blue-dogs like Nelson and Baucus. Is the country going to fail because Nebraska is in financial ruin? No. Minnesota the financial center of the country? Not even. Obama's advisors should be out on the street right this minute; if they worked for a business they would have been fired looooong ago. They caused the president to loose the confidence of the country, and worse, each day I see more people losing respect for him. I have. A lot us have and many more will tomorrow.

WANTED: Someone with enough balls to do something. Talkers need not apply. That Magda-type lady in AZ didn't draft the legislation in one day, I assure you. She took the year she's been in office to write her legislation, but the Dems in Congress couldn't bring themselves to work an extra few days to write immigration legislation or to vote on DREAM/AgJobs. Action breeds action. Look where we are now.

word is that Hillary Clinton will challenge Obama in 2012. I would have liked Hillary to take his place. All this guy wants to do is give speeches and give the bully his lunch money. Hillary in my opinion would've been much tougher. That's what being married to Mr.Bill does to you. any one agrees?
