I see a lot of negativity in these threads lately. And with the things that have been going on in the past week or so, we should feel hope and be energized to fight for the DREAM Act. So, keep fighting and keep your heads up. We will win our dream. And keep in mind, with all those negative comments that you read on articles, that the majority of Americans are on OUR side.

Quote:
New Rasmussen Reports polling finds that most voters believe children brought to this country illegally who complete two years of college or serve in the military should get a chance at U.S. citizenship. But they also agree that allowing this route to citizenship just encourages more illegal immigration.

Fifty-two percent (52%) of Likely U.S. Voters think a child who is brought here illegally and completes two years of college should get a chance at citizenship. Thirty-six percent (36%) disagree and say they not get that opportunity, and 12% are not sure.

Support is even higher for those who serve honorably in the U.S. military. Seventy-eight percent (78%) say a child brought to this country illegally who is in the military ought to get a chance at citizenship. Only 14% feel otherwise.

And for those who don't know. This poll is coming from a GOP leaning pollster.

God Bless.

It is MUCH like the health care bill that Obama is passing, 75% of americans support it but the 25% that dont are VERY loud and you see them all the time on TV and anti health care sites.

So where are the 78% that support the DA? as John Stewart said about the health care bill "They actually have shit to do" lol

Interesting to see this coming from a right wing website.

Alicrap loves to use Rasmussen as their source. I'm guessing they will just totally ignore this poll and say something among the likes of:

"The poll was biased"
"There was no choice of enforcement through attrition"
"No Amnesty!".

I totally agree with Alex. Even if there are a lot of individuals who support the DA, they have no reason to take action for it as it does not benefit them.

It's easier to point the finger than to offer a helping hand.

There would possibly be more supporter. Dreamers may not be very open about the immigration status even amongst friends.
