God, I feel like the Dems don't really want the Dream Act to pass.

They know full well that the DA has a significantly more chance of passing if it's a standalone bill, but they keep attaching it to shit like this. First the DoD, now CIR.

CIR is going nowhere this year, this was a stupid move. I feel like they're just using this to get more Latino votes, they don't give a ratass about the undocumented students.

DA NEEDS TO BE STANDALONE!!!!!!

Calm down and keep supporting them. They are the only ones who are standing for us and if they need votes, we will give them votes. Think about it, would we be better off with Republicans and their crazy racist tea party supporters?

No, we'd probably be in the exact same spot. Except Republicans wouldn't be BSing us.

The Menendez bill could include the DREAM Act, and the senator has said his legislation will have “plenty of Republican ideas in it.”

I did some research and it was enacted on November 6, which is 4 days after the election. Although I don't want to get too excited, I am hopeful that something will happen.
on the same webpage, it says that the senate passed its own version of the 1986 Immigration bill in september.

So anyone who was present even 1 day before the bill was signed was granted a GC?

Technically, they must be present before 1982 to get a GC. However, there were a lot of document fraud at that time. So yeah, pretty much anyone got a GC.

Oh ok, 4 years before the bill was signed. What happened to the document fraud folks, they just got away with it and INS/DHS can't do anything about it?
