I would consider myself socially liberal but fiscally conservative I guess.

To be honest, the DA is the only immigration legislation that I would support even if it did not affect me personally. It is really the only immigration provision thus far that does not allow the general public, excluding cases of dishonest reporting of the legislation, to think that immigrants are getting something for nothing. In order to get just a 'conditional' residency, we have to actually do way more than most Americans, as far as benefiting this country. College/service in the armed forces/no financial aid/no welfare/no criminal record...This would be a guess, but I would bet that only like 10% of the US population would fit in such category.

The only reason I want CIR is for obvious family reasons and the fact that DA might be included in it, but I cannot honestly say that people who scream "no amnesty" don't have a point. Especially considering it has been tried before and failed miserably. Thus far, I haven't seen any CIR bill that outlines any strict requirements similar to the DA.

Back taxes, fines etc. are things that are not only guaranteed to be a part of it, but really should have been done in the first place, and cannot be considered neither a reasonable punishment nor a reasonable requirement to qualify.

Being from Sinaloa myself, I can attest to the 'hotness' of Sinaloense chicks, they're the best.

Also, I hope Whitman gets infected with AIDS.
