damn Alex. In all sincerity, I want to say that I'm sorry and that I truly wish that things work out for you. If I could, I would totally put it in your butt to make you feel better. :P

Side note: i have a mentally handicapped ex gf that will marry you so that you can get papers. well, does being a "blonde" count as being mentally handicapped? Bc if it does, my friend, you will be a resident by next spring. haha

immigration officer: "how do i know you Alex and curly are a legit couple?

Alex: "well sir, he did put it in my butt"

Curly: "oh i did, God bless u.s.a"

immigration officer: "well, that DOES qualify as an extreme hardship"

Most of the Albanian parents are strict with their daughters (not so much with their sons) which means that most of the girls are not allowed to date until they're about 18 or date guys like American girls do [even though most of the girls do date guys behind their parents back].

Mostly, an Albanian girl will not just enter into a relationship with just any guy out of the blue even if he is Albanian himself because she is scared that that guy will just use her and ruin her reputation. She is very selective. In Alex's case, her parents are worried. I have many Albanian friends who started dating in high school or wanted to date . Their parents were furious once they found out. In one case, the girl went to Albania 2 months after she broke up with the guy she's dating in high school and got engaged to some guy she didn't even know.

Feenmi, marrying your ex-girlfriend would be a problem for Alex if he wants to marry someone Albanian in the future. LOL. This is because just like a girl's reputation would be ruined if people found out that she was dating around, an Albanian guy's reputation would also suffer if people were to talk about how he has been fooling around with girls that are not Albanian. It is hard to explain this to someone who is not Albanian. It has to do a lot with culture and pride. I also know a lot of Albanian guys who have married American, Italian, Irish girls. It's not completely taboo, but to be honest with you only 5% of the time does this have to do with love and 95% is for other reasons. Sometimes because the Albanian guy probably impregnated the girl and had no other choice but to marry her.

Alex, I understand what you're trying to say. My family is very strict with me too. I can't really do whatever I want or go out more than once a week because even when I go out once a week, they give me hard time sometimes. I have to ask for permission if I can go out. I don't usually ask, I make a statement. because I make plans and then I tell them I'm leaving.

One time I wanted to go out with a friend and my family told me not to. I went against what they said. I had to. I got myself in SO much trouble...... They tell me that you live with us and you have to follow our rules, when you live on your own, you can do whatever you want.

P.S: Today on the calendar is 10/10/10. One of the biggest days to get married. LOL

I agree with what Alex said about regretting it the future. I had an ex bf when I was 19-21 and well I use to regret not leaving with him. When you are a girl parents are harder on you, the expectations are different from that of a guy and they are very strict. My mother who is really my aunt brought me to the country when I was 4 so all of my childhood she would say that she had to be extra careful with me because what would she tell my mom if something happened to me. Well as much as I appreciate my aunt for everything and see her as my mom she was very strict to the point where even now at 26 she scares me. Now my state of mind is to respect her because I live under her roof and of course with my income I would be starving and struggling if I lived alone. Well my point is that I hope if your gf loves you she will see that what is best for her only she knows. Sadly, life gets in the way of true love.
