mmm... o.k. based on some reading i have done, and ASSUMING reid will really really fight hard to pass the dream act. I predict the following. the senate will take a vote on the dream act during the second week of the lame duck, the reason is that by the 3rd week the new illinois sentaro kirk will be sworn in and we will loose a dream act supporter, and why the second week, well, i simply don't think reid will put it the first week because that will be occupied by the bush tax cuts, and DODT, and Deffence Authorization bill. Now, with this said the house can easily pass the dream act on the second, or third week. If DA passes the senate i think the house will pass it easily.

What do you guys think??

senate only gets together next week, then they'll be off for thanksgiving break. then, Kirk will be sworn in on the 29th. Then starts the 2nd week of Lame Duck.

So, Dream Act needs to be voted on next week. otherwise, starting from the 2nd week of Lame Duck, Kirk will be in the senate

Btw, DADT will be debated in the senate after Dec 1st when the pentagon releases full study of DADT impact on troop's morale.

Bush's tax cut could be postponed until 3rd of lame duck because all the cut will not expire until Dec 31.

Or I imagine the tax cut debate could be well delayed until next congress if Dem can't reach an agreement with Rep on tax cut for the rich

What worries me is that I haven't heard anything from Harry Reid about the Senate's schedule. ://

So, from now until Jan, Pelosi could bring up whatever bill she wants to. She's not bound by the schedule set up by Hoyer.
What about next Congress?
