and Lu i get that, but it doesn't really excuse waiting till your in the 30's for the DA esp if you have your degree. By then you should be seriously looking at your options. Like if your in your 20's it's a bit whatever you still have time, but come on 30 you should be setting up your life, to say the least.

waiting till youre 30 is not an excuse!!....ppl that are 30 here obviously have thouhgt of goin back...but they came to a conclusion that is better to stay and fight....which i really respect them for that...because theyre the ones who started this fight 10 years ago.

All, my brother turns 31 in Jan 16 2011, considering that the age limit gets changed to 30 , would he still qualify for DA if it passes??(not taking into account the retroactive aspect)
He was 10 when our parents brought us here and he has a bachelors degree...He currently has a great job with a company thats sponsoring him now...but this process is a long one...

Here is my final assesment of this unecessary quarrel...

Some people here made unwise statements, specially under such situations where DREAMers are now been divided based on the new possible age restrictions. Everyone here, even though we are all under the "undocumented" status, have different lives and specific situations. For anyone to assume anything about the other (just because we all are undocumented and assume we all live similarly) based on their own personal experience is a bit premature.

It's sad even that some would ask very personal questions regarding their "old" age and status in life (when we all know everyone who is borderline on t he age restrictions is very nevervous and emotional at the moment).

Let's move on. Please, lock this thread and perhaps start a new one under the same news headline.

I really have no idea why you are all arguing, I'm 30 so if the younger age limit passes I'm hosed. I worked construction all my life so there wasn't a need for college for me. It's sad and a shame and I think it's garbage, but what can you do? Attacking each other over it wont make matters better.

My family and all my friends are here, Sure I can go back to Canada, but what is in Canada for me? A life with no family, friends, and having to work from the ground up. Which is better then going back to somewhere like Mexico sure, but it's hard. We all have different paths and trials we have to deal with in our life. We should all support each other, otherwise we are no better then hypocrites who don't want DA passed anyways.


What if they amended it where only children of USC or green card holders were able to apply for DA how many people would that screw over? How many would be happy about it? A lot would be hurt and upset about it, even though the child of a USC regardless of age should be able to get a green card no matter what.

Whatever happens will happen, I hope the best for all of you whatever passes.
