^^^ This is why, the concept of dream has been around for 10 + years, do the math, the pioneers/founders of this movement were 16-ish when they spoke up, ten years later they'll be 26-ish, we can all appreciate this is evaluated on a case by case basis. Don't be part of the rhetoric , stand for what Dream stands for in essence : Not punishing children when it was out of their "will" to call this nation home : Now suggest we all call our senator's and transpire same above mentioned logic.

When you turn 18, it really became your choice to stay here or leave because you are an "adult" at that age. Either way I think the age limit is a problem because it's hard to argue that this is for the kids when you have like a 31-35 year old adult that will benefit automatically. The retroactive prevision however is good only because it allows those who meet all the other requirements to be rewarded also.

The whole thing is a matter of opinions, only the senate and house can decide what stays in the bill and what gets cut/changed.

Yea because its a no brainer to just say "hey, let me just forget all ive learned and lived through in this culture and go back to a country I dont really know shit about." Especially when most of us come from countries that have no opportunities and/or no freedom (e.g. religion, choice, women equality etc.)

At 18, if you leave, it's really for one of two reasons. Either you haven't been here long enough to establish this country as your home or you have some other option (family back home, visa or whatever). The majority of us have been here for many years and we see no other country as our home.

It's hard to argue because nobody is trying to clear things up for them. Those 30+ people you mentioned were the first ones who pioneered the Dream Act. It's a shame to tell them to go home, while we reap their hard work.

yea but what if they strip that way too. Think about it, it wouldn't make any sense to lower the age limit while maintaining the retroactive provision. I hope they strip the retroactive provision but maintain the age limit of 35 It makes more sense.

I'm talking about responsibility. If 18 wasn't the age of consent there would be no ban for those who came when they were kids. It was in response to this part of dado's comment:

"Not punishing children when it was out of their "will" to call this nation home "
