I think so it will be brought up this week. But i have a question if it passes which i hope. When will we be able to get a SS# to be able to work,drive and other things. Does anyone know how long the process will take.
Also how long will it take in TOTAL to apply to acquire Citizenship

I believe the government has about 180 days to set the process up. You're going to get a conditional permanent residency which is for six years. This is just like having a GC and you will be able to work and drive. I'm not sure how long it will take for you to get the SS number and whatever ID they give us with this conditional status. After the conditional residency, you will apply for regular permanent residency and ofcourse you have to finish two years of college or enroll in the military by this time.

what if you already finished 2 years of college what do you do. also what exactly is the military like can you join the coast guard or national guard or does it have to be the army,marines,AF

Even if you've already attained 2 years of schooling, you'd still be put on the 6 year conditional status, and I believe you can join whatever the hell you want to join. I don't see why they would put a limit on what military service you join- that would just be ridiculous.

180 days...dang i forgot about the time it takes to set stuff up, i guess i gotta pay that out-of state tuition for more than i thought. and no vtec yet
