Yesterday they called for a second reading that was postponed for today. The confusion among you guys came because after the senate adjourned yesterday they went on to repeat the press conferences I mentioned earlier. But if you had looked at the top right of your screen you would have noticed that it didn't say LIVE anymore, it said TODAY. Meaning it had happened earlier. So no, Reid didn't file for cloture because they had to wait for the second reading, he may have done that today or will do it later today.
