AbJob is to provide a cover for Democratic senator from rural states.

Here are the senators from rural states: Ben Nelson, Mark Pryor, Kent Conrad, Jon Tester, etc etc.

It'll be really nice if they could couple Agjob with Dream Act. A few months ago, I believe Sen. Feinstein of California began to explore this option.

Yes. You have to meet (F). In the S3992 you have to meet all of 4a1.

Is that under the hardship or the family unity part in the bill? Of course this means talking to a lawyer right?

Might as well bring everything back. It is a political stunt not designed to pass if they go with it. Make the age forty while they are at it.

chain migration and age is two of the largest concerns about the bill.

Both faulty concerns. Chain migration is a non-issue since there would be no ability for anybody eligible for papers under DREAM to petition for at least 13 years, and if it is a relative already in the country illegally it is extended out to at least 23 years. Anybody who has ever talked to an immigration lawyer would know how hopeless immigrating legally is under the current system. This is the reason people come here illegally--it is virtually impossible to come any other way.

The age issue is also bullshit, but if it wins over votes it is better than nothing. In the end, I worry it was one more concession that will lead to nothing and only ensure that any new DREAM Act that is proposed and/or passes in the future is even more watered down than the current iteration.

It included that if you aged out, however earned a degree before aging out and meet all other requirements you would still be eligible for adjustment of status.

This has been stripped from the bill, which is strange as this is one paragraph that was hardly ever mentioned.

Oh man :/ even though that doesn't affect me, it's really sad they stripped it out. I mean, what's not fair about that??
But whatever, they're never fair anyways.

In the Senate, you can't sponsor anyone though.
