This is why I hate the Senate as an institution. It used to be a "you scratch my back and i'll scratch you" but ever since Obama went into office the GOP went batshit and refuses to compromise.

If the S.3992 version fails tomorrow, does reid have enough time for the house version to be voted on?

This is one of the most rushed controverial bills I have seen in the history. What were Democrats doing for the past 2 years?

Bills like these need a lot of time. Passing a bill like this in the past 24 hours is crazy. Don't get me wrong. I am for this bill but they took off the 30-34 age and folks who have a degree. Why leave out the original Dreamers?

I don't think so. The best thing to do is pass the original Dream Act House/Senate bill in the next Congress.

No, the best thing to do is for Durbin to add in a clause that bans DA User from ever being eligible since he has decided that he would rather have this bill fail.
