I don't know if it's cause I am white guy with citizenship but I find myself believing these guys. The political discussion of immigration didn't really mean that much to me, I wasn't affected by it and the real atrocities of our immigration system were never in my face I only would hear that it was a problem.

Thanks to someone special my eyes have been open to this extremely unfair problem and I have been following the dream act, reading your posts and feeling inspired to help for the cause. In fact in my entire life I have never actually been patriotic never felt like I wanted to stand up for my country never really felt driven to fight for something instead just point blame and say "America sucks" without real feeling. Today however I have so much shame and anger for my country that now I feel it's time to be patriotic and open up some mother f@#kers eyes to this injustice and the place they live is letting this happen. In fact I wonder how many people that I have met in my life are in this position and had to keep it a secret for an obvious and understandable reason.

The more the message gets out there the more people I believe will see this homeland oppression and will act against it. The average American has to feel it in order to get behind it. It has to be in front of their face and that's why all the sit ins, hunger strikes, rallying have been working. Until I met a great person who has to hide their status and lives in fear of deportation I would have never really thought too much about it, now I can't stop thinking about it. I believe Reid, Lugar and company are on your side and it would be a shame to denounce them, but the push has to come from the dreamers. Reid didn't convince me, you guys did. That is how this fight will be won.

And BTW I can't believe DADT is a bigger issue in this country than the Dream Act? That is F'd.
