Hell if you are legal or not legal in Texas and your in the top 5% of your class you go to any state University free of charge. This paying for college tuition is going to be a huge issue in states like Texas and California because we just cannot afford it any more. Like California has had to cut the number of classes offered in all there State colleges to cut the budget so you are going to have a legitimate argument of students not being able to get classes should an illegal immigrant be able to take that seat? We are going to find out here in the next year or so . Again I am 100% for the Dream Act and giving citizenship to that select group but I am also 1000% that after that no more none. Dreamers need to be for every illegal restriction on immigration that comes out everything from chain migration,E-verify etc because these are the issue that will get the country to pass it but only when they know that there will be no more. Reagan gave 4 million amnesty in a bill that had all these enforcements in it and none of them were acted on leading to 12-18 million more illegal immigrants. These non actions are why the country feels burned on this issue and the only thing that is going to get them behind this is if they no it will not happen again and we have complete control of our immigration system after that point. I think Veterans like myself are probably the most understanding of any group on this issue you cannot fight for freedom of your citizens then realistically be behind taking it from people but I also no when it has to be stopped we cannot afford or protect our country if the world wants to move into our country. I am sure people on here are starting to get the message and rather than calling people racist etc they are smart enough to understand what the deal is. Again there is no other country in this world that would allow what has gone on here with immigration not one. In most of the countries around the world they would either jail you then escort you across the border by gun point or do what we have seen going on Mexico and kill them that is the reality of the world today.
with a republican super majority 101-49, the bad economy and texas being short on money in-state tuition for illegals is a big target for the new state republicans...it wouldn't surprise me if texas turns into a mini-me version of AZ. well it was good while it lasted, so much for that hope and change/si se puede mumbo jumbo....

Things would be different if Obama could turn around the economy but he has increased the debt some 8 trillion dollars since he has been in office and has an unemployment rate of 9.8%. States are being hit the hardest because they depend on the federal government for a percentage of reimbursement but if its not there then there is no money. I dont think people have quite figured that out yet what kind of hole this country is in everything has to go to reducing the debt.

Hey man, just a word of advice. It appears that you're going against a lot of people on this site. I don't think you really belong here because you're saying things that contradict the purpose of this place. I won't rant on about the posts you've made, but I'd give you some advice. You should take ECON 101 and visit more political sites on the internet so you know exactly what's going on and what the Obama administration is doing, in terms of the economy, immigration, the stock market, job growth, etc, instead of seeing things so concretely and not in detail.

Really, maybe I need to burn my Political Science degree with the Economics minor and just chunk it because you somehow think you are the warden of that? I tell you what maybe I can dumb myself down by stop going to my graduate school classes in Sustainability which I will have completed in another 14 months. I know more about the legislative process and political process in this country than your High School teacher who is teaching you Econ 101, I am 100% behind the Dream Act because of the people I served with for four years in the Marines including two 15 month tours in Iraq. You know the marines were most illegals will go so that can earn there citizenship once they complete there service contract. And just because you cannot look at things in reality and understand the economic and political ramifications at what we are trying to get done don't bring your remedial understanding to me in a negative tone. I do not do rah rah rah which I guess is what you need to hear to get by you can go to your mom or grandmother for that anytime. Here in the real world there is a legitimate way to look at how the country looks at the issue and there is a legitimate economical point to look at the issue , there is a legitimate historical track record view on the issue and of course there is a lot of complicated legislative legalities to the issue not being able to discuss those in a adult manner is nothing more than childish. So if you need someone to tell you a state legislator is all the sudden going to pass his own dream act and this makes you feel good even though any basic High School Political Science student knows that this is not possible you get upset when someone is pointing out basic facts. I think your remedial knowledge of the issue you are supposed to be supporting should cause you to leave because who needs more fluff on this issue like the fluff that led up to the Dream Act failure last month. Anyone on top of the issue knew that it had no chance and even when Reid pulled it back from the original vote showed he did not have the votes people still wanted to hear the fluff. All the while people need to develop new factual ideas that will get things moving with a complete understanding of all variables especially a understand of the country pulse. So you cannot be informative at all on this issue to help anyone out or actually know what is going on so why don't you stop hurting everyone else and just leave.

Unemployment has dropped down a bit, to 9.4%, and by the way, I'm in college, not in HS. And I apologize about my initial response to you. We disagree on a lot of things "theboys2010", but I won't step down to the level of debating with you. You're entitled to your own opinion, and I'm entitled to my own also.
