Why didn't Schumer cosponsor? He's huge on immigration.

I m pretty sure the listed sponsors are just the first wave to join up, more will follow if this thing does indeed take off. I feel that the momentum is building up, but for CIR..whereas Dream Act might be left behind. Either way, which ever passes if it passes, it will be good news for everyone.

I wish we had some one like Senator Kristen Gibrald Insted of Schumeer...I am still waiting on Schumer to produce CIR bill since last two yrs. I really dont count on schumer to deliver anything on CIR. Yes he will surly vote for it, but he wont do anything to push CIR. Durbin or Gibrald will be the best choice for immigration sub commities insted of Schumer.

I know this is pretty new so there is no for sure answer on anything, but would the Dream Act that would be added to this be a completely new version, or the last one that was voted on?

Since when has the Dream Act been included in the CIR bill? What are you smoking? If CIR were to pass, Dream Act would not be necessary as it grants legal status to all 12+ million undocumented individuals. Seriously, where do you gather your information from? As you claiming to be a hardcore DA fan, I would not take your word for anything

It will be hard to pass any DA or CIR with republican controled house. Republicans might let DA pass with strong enforcement and border security bill. They have to suport something to atlest twist latino votes in order to get any republican president in near future. DA is must win policy for GOP to win next election. Passing DA they will break into latino votes and also get credit to pass enforcement bills. Republicans know this verry well and Bennet has alredy said that his feloow frnds are intresting to work on DA in future. I dont even see DA is coming soon at this point b/c republicans are only intresting to work on reapling of obamacare. Only one person can turn his magic on to pass DA is President Obama. We saw him in State of Union Speech that he can twist republicans to suport DA if he really want it to pass.

Well, as long as they add the border security bill then all else will be easy to pass. Bennett has already said he will introduce a DA bill this year. Obamacare will not pass in Senate. They are wasting their time in the House to repeal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compreh...rm_Act_of_2007

DA was part of the Immigration bill in 2007.

CIR may have the path to Citizenship but it will be much tougher. With DA, you immediatly get a conditional GC compare to CIR which would enable you to get a work visa first.

heh! DA was never part of CIR, in the link your provided it just listed Dream Act as a related form of reform, two different things. Dream Act had its own Bill # as did CIR.
