"I will keep fighting alongside many of you to make the 'Dream Act' the law of the land," he said. "It will be difficult and it will take time. I know that some of you wish I could just bypass Congress and change the law myself. But that is not how democracy works."

This democracy is failing because of the bureaucratic nonsense Mr. President and it's within your power to whip this congress back into order. The endless bullsh*tting has to stop.

I can recall Clinton granting Citizenship through an executive order to any green card holder, non-citizens or illegal aliens in the military if they served in the Gulf war. I'm sure he craft something of this sort that can benefit us orderly undocumented.

Is it just me or does it seem like he is appealing to conservative voting bloc when he mentions all this rule of law crap? Tweny-two democratic senators sent him a detailed letter on how to stop the deportation of DREAMers in a constitutional manner.

*sigh* I feel if we get Obama elected again, it will just be another 4 years that will go to waste on top of 4 years we already wasted on his so-called "change/hope" presidency. This is really starting to feel more and more hopeless every day. The rhetoric is everything we have heard before from him. Republicans are very unlikely to support our cause. They will pile on excuse after excuse in order to keep their Fox News-watching electorates content. We are between a rock and hard place. We can hope but I'm not too sure if it's a realistic expectation that it will pass in the next 5 1/2 years. I hope Obama proves me wrong. I really, really do.
