Dream Act is the only real immigration bill that can be passed until the political climate changes. CIR would cost so much money to get done that I dont think it will even be thought about until the deficit is reduced. I mean it would cost hundreds of millions of dollars to get all those federal programs started nationwide like E-verify, everyone leaving the country then coming back, IRS people to take in all those passed due taxes to paid, and whatever government agency that would be over taking in the fines for the government. There are so many more I dont see the house and congress while trying to cut the deficit would put out more money for all this. Maybe I am wrong but its hard to see when there cutting money for school lunch programs right now.

Is that Screech like saved by the bell or is it something different?

I don't know what screech stance is on anything but I do think Dream Act will pass before the 2012 election. Unless they make it were Mexicans are to scared to come out and vote again. Dream Act is simple there are no cost kids are in school now parents are here with them there is no money going out the door for some anti-group saying its taking jobs our its hurting schools. IMHO that is were this is going Dream Act. These politicians start getting worried around election time and try to get all the votes they can so if we can have tight elections the Dream Act will come before 2012.

I have to agree with you on this, come the 2012 elections, GOP and Dems will scramble to rally up every possible vote to try and get their party in the oval office. As of right now, chances of DA passing are slim, but you never know. Come 2012, everything will change. Politicians will and must pass some type of immigration law, whether it being Dream Act or CIR. Lets hope for the best.
