I wanted to point out how many of you on this board have played the "I'm Superior Game" yourselves, how you are so much better then USC's. Well you in my opinion you no better or worst than any USC's or human being for that point. But what does separate you from a natural born USC is that they will have a SS# and can get legal ID or Driver's license, they cannot ever be deported. A naturalized USC can lose it all if they commit certain crimes and that is just a fact.

What I disliked about what some you say about the USA is that you have the nerve to angry at it for not passing CIR or the DA. The USA didn't put you in this position, your relatives did. And Americans white and black feel that way. But some are willing to give you the benefit of the doubt as am I. But some of your negative and downright nasty comments are irritating to say the lest. Some of you truely don't need to be here. Let's face it you are here for economic reasons, which is not allowed under US immigration law. And while enonomics isn't such a bad reason to me, it just simply isn't allowed under existing US law.

The USA is one of main countries in the world in which most people would like to immigrate to for a better life, but there are only so many slices of any pie in any country. In this one the top 2% seem to control everything, but then again hasn't that always been the way of the world?

I have always wondered how many of you would want the Dream Act if say you had to serve 4 yrs in any branch of the armed services, even if you did 2 yrs. of college?
Would you still want it as much? For some of you who want to serve you have my respect, because being willing to put your life on the line is indeed worthy to me of citizenship.
Sometimes you have to be willing to die for a cause, I saw this doing the 1960's Black Civil Rights Movement. Those protesters face odds greater than yours that somethings ended in death. They rightfully earned their high station in history, for it truely did change the face the of this country for the better.
I have to say that a good point is made here and you should really take notice of what is being said. The attitude I have noticed from alot of you dreamers does mirror what this person is saying. There is too much " I deserve this and I deserve that" when in actuality you deserve nothing. I understand it was your relatives and not yourselves who caused these difficulties you are now experiencing, but your plight will not be solved by this kind of attitude. Want to prove you are worthy of the right of American citizenship with no question? serve in the military. I myself served in the United States Army, not because I wanted something from my country in return, like you would be doing, but because I believed it was the right thing to do for my country. I am a citizen who has worked and will continue to work to strike down any attempt at amnesty and a dream act. Why? because I firmly believe that contrary to your beliefs, this country owes you nothing, you owe this country for not enforcing the law and allowing you to stay as long as you have. So why don't you use the college education that you have obtained and actually do something that you know will net the results you crave? Serve this country in the most unselfish way you can, via the armed forces and recieve your citizenship.

Uh....we need to be legal to become part of the American military....

DREAM Act is about letting us serve in the military as much as it is letting us study in the U.S.

I can read, write and speak really good English. I have a valid SS# and a Valid License. Yes to all but the citizenship.

I'm 25 years old and I've always wanted to get into the military ever since I was 16 but I couldn't. Do you know why? Because I'm out of status AKA "illegal." Illegals can't join the military that's why we need the Dream ACT, which let's us to this. To prove out willingness to be a "true" American whatever the hell that means. No matter what other people tell you illegal aliens CANNOT join the military.

I just find it hard to believe that you support the Dream Act, and nothing you say can change that opinion.

I am grateful that you are not in a position of power to do anything for us (you're only one vote out of many), because based on your post, someone with such an outlook on power as yours would be petty and vindictive. However, I am informed enough to know that your view doesn't reflect the views of a lot of Americans that are aware of the details of the Dream Act, the broken immigration system and are sympathetic to our plight.

I am thankful for all the amazing people that support us and are willing to give us a chance to have some means of ever becoming legal in this country, those are the people that matter.
That one vote can matter, along with my vote, my families vote, the vote of their family and friends etc etc. Many of the traditionally left leaning organizations are changing their stance on this issue. As I said earlier, this country owes you nothing. A growing majority of Americans, and yes it is becoming a very large majority due to the floundering economy, will not appreciate having to compete for a dwindling number of jobs against those who are here illegally. As the economy continues to flounder, so will the support for your cause. Do you think that a voting American public will continue to appreciate the granting of in-state college tuition to illegals? You realize this issue was never put to a vote of the American taxpayer, and the discontent of those taxpayers grows daily as it is percieved as a slight to the American citizen, you also realize that American citizens fund the majority of a public university budget? Now you can throw the often used "illegals pay taxes" argument at me like so many of you are fond of doing, but do you really think that American citizens aren't aware that the job you hold could be helping to support a legal citizen and their family? I must admit that if we in a very strong economy your cause may very likely have been passed, but as it stands now change is in the wind, and the writing is on the wall. If the economy does not improve significantly by the end of 2012, and many forecasts say it will not, this country will no longer have a Democratic president in the White House, thereby making your cause hopeless.

property taxes pay education; illegals rent/own houses; illegals and/or landlord pay property taxes; illegals pay for education; illegals can't access public money; your logic is flawed

You say you attended college? because nowhere in my post did I say that illegals don't pay taxes. I said: " do you really think that American citizens are not aware that the job you hold could be helping to support a LEGAL citizen and their family" let me explain it a bit more simply by including the unstated implication : The job you hold as an illegal alien could be serving to support the family of those that are legal American citizens. I think you are letting your emotions blur your ability to comprehend what you read. By the way, Alabama just passed the most stringent immigration laws in the country, and furthermore, I was not trying to make the issue Democratic or Republican, I was simply implying that the stance that the Republican party is taking on immigration these days is mirroring the attitude of the majority of the American people and of course the Tea Party. I admit that there are Republicans who are outspoken against enforcing immigration law, but as it stands now a Republican candidate who includes an agenda supporting immigration enforcement has a very good chance of winning the presidency, unless of course the candidate is Sarah Palin which in that case everyone involved would have a good laugh. Also keep in mind that sanctuary states such as California, who have a large majority of illegal residents and a very large population as a whole, usually have no say in presidential elections because historically the winner of said election has already been determined before California's electoral vote is even counted. So, in a nut shell, with the number of Americans unemployed, the failure of the economy to thrive as Obama hoped, the fact that many Americans are reaching the limit of their unemployment benefits and realizing that they will have to take ANY job that they can get, added to the mounting discontent of those who have been looking for work and can't find it, the idea of supporting illegal immigration is swiftly becoming politically incorrect. But please continue what you are doing spouting the same old retoric and arguments such as "doing the jobs Americans won't do" or my personal favorite " This is our land and you stole it" lol, please continue with this one as it is sure making my job as an activist much easier.

you were implying American citizens pay for illegal's college education, I was merely pointing out how wrong you are on that assumption.

I wasn't aware that jobs are stolen. The last time I checked, you're offered it or you apply for it, qualify for it and do well in it or else you don't get to keep it. I guess illegal aliens are so less than human that they would let their children starve a slow and grueling death instead of doing something about it.

If you're here to break out spirits and make you feel better about yourself, you've come to the wrong place. How can you break something that's already broken more times than you can imagine?
