It's sorta funny you bring this up about the filibuster, Congress had a chance this year to get rid of the idea of the filibuster, but no. Instead they filibusted the motion to get rid of it. Congress needs to return back to a simple majority rather than a vast majority, unless its Treaties that the Senate is voting on, in which case those require a super majority to pass.

Wow, they filibustered the motion to get rid of a filibuster? That's ridiculously stupid. How do they expect to get anything done at this rate?

If they had gotten rid of the filibuster last year, the DREAM Act would be a freaking reality already. Ughhh.

Exactly my thoughts. I couldn't believe that they actually did what they did. By the way, it was the GOP that blocked it. However, both the GOP and the Democrats both agreed to use the filibuster less frequently, but lets be real here. Who uses the filibuster more, the GOP of course.
