I really have to say that I strongly believe that before the end of this year or the presidential elections, the Dream Act will pass and become law. On September 14'11 Obama spoke at a CHC dinner and said, and I quote him " I will do EVERYTHING IN MY POWER to pass the Dream Act." For one, I have to say that this is the side of Obama that my friends and I have been wanting to see for a long time. If he used his executive power to sign a memo stopping the deportations of ALL dreamers, except high risk criminals, who knows how much power he really has?! This is truly great news. We still have a long way to go and must keep the fight going. To all the dreamers out there who are struggling or tired of fighting the fight, I say to you..don't give up cause GOD is going to deliver your reward. For once, the light at the end of the tunnel is slowly but surely getting brighter. These are times that GOD has heard your prayers and cries, and now, your hard work is going to pay off. Have faith in God and keep hope ALIVE. Well good night and God bless everyone.
This is not good news. People think that the GOP opposes immigration reform on an ideological level but the ones writing the checks for the candidates know that if something like E-Verify and CIR pass, they lose their source of cheap labor in the U.S. Their goal is to maintain their de facto slave class that will keep the struggling economy afloat. Every Washington hack knows this yet no one speaks of it out loud.
