I think that we should stop waiting for the next election or the next voting on the DREAM Act.

We need to campaign to align allies now and get ready for a vote in a few years or so. We need to continue to show who we are and what it means to us to see the DREAM Act become reality.

We need to advocate every single Senator, even the most conservative. And not take for granted our supporters.

I intend on meeting Senator Durbin and working with him to get to 60 whenever they take the bill up again. Of course, we must not waste our time on meaningless votes when the Republicans have the majority in the House.

The DREAM Act should OUR cause because it is OURS!

We need to stop being procrastinators and call every day, or every week. Send cards to these Senators to show them that even though they chose to oppose the DREAM Act, we still have hope that they will come to their senses.

I WANT TO CHANGE THE STATUS QUO AND FINALLY PUT INTO USE OUR ENERGY AS ACTIVISTS! NO ONE ELSE WILL DO IT FOR US! THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF US DREAMIES OUT THERE! WE NEED TO UNITE!

TO UNITE AND USE OUR UNITED FORCE IN A DISCIPLINED STRATEGY.
This is the only option imo along with leaving. I'm chosing the second option but might as well go down with a fight. I say make a facebook event and use similar words to rile up the public. Everyone then shows up on the date at the event and have a massive protest. Just do it. Nothign to lose. If they deport you, you'll get a free ticket back home.

This would actually be a great idea. Think about it, let's say we were to hold a massive dreamer rally and ICE were to show up. Two things could happen. We would either gather enough support and make such an impact that the DREAM act would be shot into the spotlight or we hold a big'ol Dreamer rally until ICE shows up and we are taken into custody. Think about the support we would get!!!! Communities, members of clergy, politicians, would advocate for us and Obama would be forced to act! Or risk losing his presidency. I seriously doubt ICE would show up though.

Well, it would take months to prepare for a massive DREAM Act rally. What do you think? Maybe we could do it around election time so we get some coverage and the President is thrown into the debate and he can finally reassure us that he will fight harder next time.

I have never organized a rally before, but I am willing to take a whole week off from work to do it in D.C. I am sure we would attract a lot of supporters.
