Well, there has to be a path to citizenship because Rubio declared that his solution or alternative would not ban us from citizenship-- look at the thread where Rubio was interviewed by Juan Williams of Fox News and read the article. So, there will be a way.

Likewise, the age limit is a concern. Therefore, it is EXTREMELY important that we contact him about it. I don't want him to get the idea that all dreamers are under 23 or something.

I already contacted him. But, I will pay attention. And again, I will make sure that he hears the voice of DREAMERS like us. I WILL FIND A WAY. Either facebook, twitter, contact, reporters, GOP contacts, . . . I will find a way.

1) Conditional residency of 10 years as opposed to the current one of 6 years.
2) No chain immigration at all.
Well, that will be challenging part 2face. But, not impossible. One way we could put pressure on the Democrats is to appear in public supporting Rubio's idea--to have him present us publicly as DREAMERS who support his alternative and want the Democrats to swallow their pride and meet the GOP halfway. In other words, he needs "poster" Dreamers. So, flooding Rubio's twitter or facebook account letting him know that we support his alternative might help get his attention, cause him to contact us somehow, and then present us to the public.

Keep in mind, we would not be back-stabbing the Democrats. We would just be showing them that not everyone in our community is on board with the fact that they plan to block Rubio' s alternative and that we want the Dems to compromise!

I just remembered that one of my professors is really good friends with one writer for the New York Times. So, I could ask my professor to contact that writer and have the journalist write a piece on the DREAMERS who support Rubio's idea. We could even circulate an electronic petition stating that we support Rubio's alternative and then send the petition to that writer. Hell, we could keep on contacting every reporter to let him or her know. BUT IT IS FUCKEN IMPORTANT THAT WE DO THIS, SO WE PUT PRESSURE ON DEMOCRATS TO COMPROMISE WITH THE GOP.

An Overstay can marry a USC and get a GC right now. Whether there is a path or not in this bill does not really matter at this point. Take what is on the table.

They should keep it at 35 like the original and/or Retroactive for a Dreamer already having 2 years completed towards college.

I agree with Smooth 100%, he's da man here. DA User, it won't have a chance if you INCREASE the age limit (keep it where it's at). RUBIO DID SAY THAT HIS PLAN WONT BAR US FROM CITIZENSHIP, SO WHY THE HELL IS THERE OPPOSITION? He's just trying to eliminate chain migration that the Dream Act -could- do. At least, i hope so lol.

I just fucking hate that the Republicans always have to get their way..they have a "its my way or the highway" mentality that's pretty much keeping this nation on a downward spiral, but I'm so desperate I'll take it..

The age limit was always 35 by the Senate and House had no limit. What about the Retroactive provisions?

I hope those who call this bill Apartheid would not apply for this ( In case it passes).

I sometimes think that some illegals here would prefer being illegals forever than getting some kind of relief.
