They invariably wanted to fix a problem that is on a larger, some could say broader scale. The thing is, the bigger and broader you start getting, some good details of the parts get lost and more often than not, opponents will focus on nonsensical issues which causes lots of bills to fail.

Also, many, many factors contribute to actually passing a bill as well. While none of us will actually know the nitty-gritty details of the ACTUAL process, we can at least attest that it is an rigorous and arduous process in terms of even getting the bill to be crafted.

This is why I don't necessarily blame the majority of the Democrats and Pres. Obama for not getting the bill passed in 2010. I just think the timing was off, and the Democrat's momentum had been all used up for the Affordable Healthcare Act, which is understandable since it will benefit majority of Americans who voted them to do work.

Yea I feel you on that, the 2010 DA would have had a better chance if it resembled Rubio's DA more. I mean in my opinion, its fool proof. As the article mentions, we'll be paying taxes and we'll be waiting in line just like everyone else. Anyone who argues that we just use taxpayer money will just look like idiotic fools who have nothing better to do than just hate on the group that they know cannot fight back.......yet

I do hope that they pass this soon.....not the next 5 years.....because a lot of us just don't have that time.

Guys, so far so good. It is not an Arms Act. It is fair to us and those who have immigrated legally to the country. In terms of getting a job, that shouldn't be a problem. Give us work authorizations, and we will have a job faster than you can say sha-boing!

Maybe, age will be excluded??????????? Don't know.
What if you have a 4 year degree already? Then you can apply for a Work Visa and get Driver's License?

Yes, it applies to both paths.

Does he mean after you complete atleast high school education?

None of the Rubio's articles have mentioned age though.

Because they are way ahead of the GOP's already for the elections.

I do hope that I qualify under this new bill -- I'm probably gonna go jump off a cliff if I miss it by some minor technicality.
There is always CIR if you miss the DA.

I think Rubio's idea, even if it is all talk, is by far fair. Obviously GC would be great, but I can understand why some would be against it. I do not think any country would hand out legal residence to illegal immigrants, I think Rubio's approach might even be quite generous.
